St. Vitus Cathedral is the largest and most important church in the Czech Republic, situated within Prague Castle. Construction began in 1344 and the cathedral was not completed until 1929. It houses the Crown Jewels of Bohemia, the tomb of St. Wenceslas, and stunning Art Nouveau stained glass by Alfons Mucha. The cathedral has served as the coronation church for Bohemian kings and remains the seat of the Archbishop of Prague.
