The Putra Mosque (Masjid Putra) is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia's federal administrative capital. Built in 1999, the mosque features striking rose-tinted granite construction and sits on the shores of the man-made Putrajaya Lake. Its design is inspired by the architecture of Safavid-era Iran, with a 116-meter minaret and five tiers representing the five pillars of Islam. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers and is one of Malaysia's most photographed landmarks.
