Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires is one of the world's most remarkable necropolises, containing 4,691 vaults and mausoleums in styles ranging from Art Deco to neo-Gothic to Baroque. Established in 1822 next to the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, it is the final resting place of presidents, Nobel laureates, military heroes, and most famously Eva 'Evita' Perón.
